What We Do

Being a mum is one of the hardest jobs you can do, and us mums need all the support we can get to stay whole and keep a sense of self in amongst the craziness of family life.

Mums That Can provides useful information relevant for women in their local and surrounding areas.

We aim to help you answer all those questions floating around in your head: where is the children's centre? What groups can I visit with my child today? How am I going to fill up my day without the CBeebies repeats? Am I ever going to have a life again?

For mums looking for something to do with their little (and not so little) ones, we have information on local baby groups, mums and tots toddler groups, and activities for older children.

We provide a cost effective web presence for relevant local and national businesses and services (whether they are run by mums or not), and support local women with children setting up or growing their own businesses and finding family-friendly employment.

So click on your local area, take a look at these pages and see how we can help! If your local area isn't here, get in touch and let us know you need us!

Choose your local area

Whether you're looking for a sanity-saving new baby or toddler group, a good local business or even that dream mum-suitable job, we can help!

About Stagecoach Saffron Walden

Performing Arts School for 2-18 years.

We at Stagecoach Saffron Walden are proud to offer a full and rounded education in singing, dance and drama for children aged 2 – 18 years. Our aim is to nurture and develop young potential through performing arts, stretching imaginations and building confidence. Classes run on Saturdays during termtime.

We offer many performance opportunities to our students, with groups recently performing at the The Saffron Walden Christmas Fayre, the Saffron Walden Town Hall, The Cresset Theatre in Peterborough and Her Majesty’s Theatre in the West End of London,. We also offer holiday workshops running at Easter and during the Summer each year, and provide top – quality, bespoke party entertainment to aid busy parents.

Whether you are looking to learn new skills, make new friends, perform in the West End or plan a spectacular party, Stagecoach Saffron Walden has something to offer you!

We are delighted to announce that we have now launched brand new ‘Mini Stages’ classes for 2 – 4 year olds, and their parent or carer. All children, particularly this age group, learn through movement, imagination, creativity and curiosity and our Mini Stages classes allow children to experience all of these.

The classes cover key learning areas including literacy and numeracy skills, communication and social development. Each Resource Pack is based on a particular theme and runs for 6 weeks. Titles include Pirate Island, The Magic Kingdom, Bugs in the Garden, Nursery Rhyme Land, Me and My Environment and Food & Drink – with 6 more being written for next year! Mini Stages sessions allow children enter into a themed world and explore the power of their imagination.

Our Mini Stages Classes run on Friday mornings during term time and take place in the  the Committee Room at Saffron Walden Town Hall, 10am – 10.45am. If you would like any further information, or would like to book in, please contact us at saffronwalden@stagecoach.co.uk.
