What We Do

Being a mum is one of the hardest jobs you can do, and us mums need all the support we can get to stay whole and keep a sense of self in amongst the craziness of family life.

Mums That Can provides useful information relevant for women in their local and surrounding areas.

We aim to help you answer all those questions floating around in your head: where is the children's centre? What groups can I visit with my child today? How am I going to fill up my day without the CBeebies repeats? Am I ever going to have a life again?

For mums looking for something to do with their little (and not so little) ones, we have information on local baby groups, mums and tots toddler groups, and activities for older children.

We provide a cost effective web presence for relevant local and national businesses and services (whether they are run by mums or not), and support local women with children setting up or growing their own businesses and finding family-friendly employment.

So click on your local area, take a look at these pages and see how we can help! If your local area isn't here, get in touch and let us know you need us!

Our language programme for kids include:

Our baby programme is a music and multi-sensory class with a flavour of Spanish suitable for babies from birth to 18 months.

Once your little ones can start to talk, then our preschool, EYFS and school programmes use songs, games, storytelling and drama to bring the language to life and inspire these little learners.

Our Junior Programme, suitable for children between 7-11 years, is a fun focussed language experience encouraging structured and independent learning through games, role play and music.

Classes are run by Jessica who is a Spanish native speaker with a passion for languages and teaching. Classes are available in and around the Saffron Walden, Great Dunmow and Bishops Stortford area.

Each term children will bring home vocabulary sheets so they can continue learning at home, they will also collect stamps each week and receive certificates.

Your first class is always free so why not come along and join in the fun?

Classes are also available for childminders, home educated children, private tuition, nurseries, preschools & primary schools.
